KATE SHANAHAN (Set/Costume Designer) has designed set and costume for numerous and diverse theatre works, films and dance performances including See In Me for Parramatta Riverside Theatres, Queen C for B Sharp, costumes for Richard III and The Wild Party for Siren Theatre Co, Dance Hall Days and Mash Up for The Q Theatre, award winning One More Than One for Atypical Theatre Co, Mother Fish with Powerhouse Youth Theatre and Khoa Do, costumes for Hi 5 The Suprise! Tour, Out of Body Exp for Keith Lim, Darlingwood Tales for Loose Cannon Arts and The Opera House, costumes for Helpmann award winning Thursday’s Child for Monkey Baa, also Il Campanello, As You Like It, Julius Caesar, Picasso At The Lapin Agile, Zetland, shows at PACT including Crime Site, Song of Ghosts, Suspect and Before The Lights Go Out, and numerous Babies Proms for the Opera House. Kate has also designed for the Royal Easter show, mentored students at UNSW and helped facilitate visual arts workshops for people with a disability. Her costumes in Queen C were nominated for Best Costume design in the Sydney Theatre Award. Kate is working with RUCKUS on the Speed of Life project.
