Suzy Dunne

SUZY DUNNE is a co-collaborator and artist support for RUCKUS. Suzy is an interdisciplinary performer and arts educator who specialises in physical theatre, drama and movement direction. She graduated with Distinction from BA Dance at UWS and has diverse experience working in arts education, facilitation and creation.
She has devised and directed performances for various education programs including Beyond the Square (Riverside Theatres), Starefest (Riverside Theatres), Westmead Children’s Hospital (Ausdance NSW), Western Sydney Regional Drama Festival and Flannofest (Q Theatre). She also facilitated the 2011 Fast+Fresh Dance Festival for FORM Dance Projects.
In 2015, Suzy has been developing an original work, ‘Bananas in the Bedside Table.’ The work explores the impact of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and has been supported by the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre (Q Lab) and the Inter-Arts Residency program at Blacktown Arts Centre.
Suzy currently tutors at Beyond the Square, working with people who identify as having disability.
